The Golden Prairies

The Golden Prairies is where the pack goes to hunt, well one of the few places for big game hunting. Depending on the season, you can find many types of prey from deer to buffalos to even wild boar. The sky is uncovered by any trees and every so often, you can see eagles and hawks circling far above. Hunters of the pack are allowed to be hear, or indeed any full-grown wolves. However, because there is near to no cover in the area, pups shouldn't be here alone. Also, this is sometimes a dangerous part as this is at the edge of the territory and stranger wolves sometimes try to claim the area.

She was running now and she stopped as she heard a sound,
"Hear that?" she turned to her brother, It as a soft swishing sound, she knew the sound well, it was the sound of many elk eating walking around relaxed in no fear of a predator. "Dinner's here." she said dropping to a silent crouch. Her dappled coat made her almost impossible in the grass even with the moon riding high in the sky.

Razzu halts at the sight of the deer and drops low.His black pelt made him seeable but he knew his advantages."Go for the legs and I'll go for the throat?"He whispered when he crawled to his sisters side.

"Ok" her voice was low as she replied, "Let's do a pincer movement too. I'll take left flank, you take right? and we both cover center." it was a tectic they have used before and they being twins could almost think in unison.

Razzu smiled gleaming white fangs at his sister."He searched for the perfect deer before spotting one right in front of him.It was healthy but they had dealt with this before."On three.One...Two..."Razzu raised his hackles.

She crept closer then at a flick of her tail at her brother, she has leapt in the same instent and launched herself at the legs of the deer.

Razzu leapt at the samemoment,a growl mixed bark escaped his mouth and he chased the deer from the heard biting and snapping at it's hind legs.The deer kicked.

Unlike her brother, she was silent as a shadow as she streaked after them, then the deer kicked and she felt a sharp pain on her side. A growl rising to her throat, but still making no sound, she bit hard it's leg feeling the tough sinue and fur in her jaws.

Razzu let out a sharp bark and headed for the front where he would make the final blow to the deers neck.He gathered speed and barked again for his sis to follow.

She ran on, dodging between the legs of the deer, doing her best to seperte the prey from the rest of the herd. Then finally, success, she felt the shift in the herd's run, saw them rase to the left, leaving leaving the one being hunted alone and separated. She got behind it, stopping it from returning to the herd.

Razzu lowered ready for the leap.His muscles bunched and he flew at the animal diagnally.He missed.He rolled to the ground and leapt to his feet panting.He was tired and wasn't sure if he could try again.He gazed at his sis hopefully as he gathered into another run trying to catch up.

She saw him struggling and she leapt, her slight body flying through the air and she landed paws skidding on the back of the deer. Finding the jugular, she bit down and held on for dear life as the deer bucked under her.

Razzu whined fearful his sis could get hurt. He picked up speed and flung himself at the bucking deer snapping his jaws on it's flank and yanking it to the ground.

She could't keep her balance anymore. She felt her paws slipping. She yelp as the deer gave an especially violent buck then, empty air. For a second, her mind froze and time seemed to stop. Then she was twisting frenetical to land on her paws. Then she was on the ground, the wind knocked out of her completely.
"Razzu, you alright? she called more worried about her second half than herself." her voice was horse, and she didn't know if he heard her.

Vinnick searched the ground for any trace of a scent, but he knew deep down inside that his nose was no longer useable. Lifting his head high, he let out a howl, and hoped to retrieve an answer.
"Hello?"

Rezsia lifted her head as her ears picked up a sound of another wolf.
"Hey bro, is it just me, or did you hear that howl too?" turning, she ran towards the sound wondering who the stranger is. Up ahead, she saw a shape, another male. Though she and her twin has only been in their new home for a few days, she already felt protective over the land they have found. Stopping infront of the male, she lifted her tail in a dominant possition, a slight rumbole coming from her chest.
"Who are you and what do you want?" her ears were forward and her body was tensed.

Vinnick turned towards the dominant female, exhasted from his escape. Its been a week ever since his last rest, it was so bad you could see his exhastion in his eyes. Vin was surprsied he hasn't lost his strength yet. His feet from under him were numb, and could not take it any further.
"I'm Vinnick, and I want rest..I escaped..humans." he answered shakily but honestly. Vin lowered his rump, ready to pass out from lack of rest, but a sharp pain directed in his shoulder struck him with unwanted energy and he checked out what caused the pain. Blood was slowly dripping out of the wound made him whine, so he began licking the liquid off.

She growled at the sight of the blood.
"Himans did this to you?" she remembered her home and what had happened. "Very well, I grant you amnisty as long as you promise to go as soon as you have recovered. her eyes were hard as they met his and her posture hadn't changed but her tone has slightly more warmth than they did a moment ago. "Come, I will bring you to a safer place and to meet my twin Razzu." she felt strange, but she placed her shoulder under his feeling a shudder run through her body and began walking, ignoring the strange feeling she had just felt. This wolf was nothing to him, simply a hurt stranger who needed shelter. soon he will recover and he will be gone.

"Thank you," Vinnick responded, slowly rising from the ground and limping over to meet the other male.

"You should sleep" she said simply as she looked at him with an unreadable expression. Rezzu has alway said when she looked like that, she unearved others, but she was curious about this wolf, but didn't want to show it.

Vinnick limped over to her flank and halted, shaking his head no. Something stirred interest about this wolf, perhaps it was her name. Either way, he didn't want to sleep
"I need to gain the trust of your brother if were staying together, and hopefully find an herb. The pain, somehow, shocks me like lightning and gives me energy."

She looked at him, her amber eyes searching his face.
"It is the first time I hear someone else say pain energize him." she smiled slightly, then at an urge, she began cleaning his wound, her noungue making smoothing strokes on his flank.

Vinnick chuckled at her words, and smiled as she licked the wound. The intense stinging began to simmer down. He could move his shoulder more, but not too much as the bullet was lodged in his bone.
"Yeah, I'm different from most wolves..not in a bragging way. Its kind of sad,"
